SAP TIP OF THE WEEK #13

Keep Your Accounts Confidential

Chart of accounts is the heart of the business – this is where all the numbers add up. Almost every time a user creates a document or transaction, accounts are involved – and account information can be accessed conveniently and efficiently. However, what if certain accounts contain sensitive data? Or allocated to sensitive project that involve very specific employees? For such cases, SAP Business One enables you to set those accounts as “Confidential”:

Accounts set as “Confidential” are visible and accessible only for users who have full authorization to “Access to Confidential Accounts”. Other users cannot see, access, or record data to those accounts.

Available from SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One.
